The Dark Knight Chipmunk Style

Assignment (3 stars)

For this assignment, we had to take a clip from a film and edit the audio in some way. I chose to edit a scene from the Dark Knight, as this is Edward Creeper’s favorite movie of all time. This scene is pretty classic, so I would assume most people have at least some recollection of what is going on. It is interesting to hear how everything sounds so much more different now, and how less threatening the Joker comes across.

To complete this assignment, I first found the clip I wanted to edit from YouTube (found here). I then used Nora’s tutorial to help guide me through the process of editing. I opened the clip in Audacity after downloading it using a YouTube converter, and used it to change the pitch of the voices (I set it to 50%). I then saved the the clip as mp3 onto my desktop. I opened the original clip in iMovie, and turned off the sound. I then added the new audio file into iMovie, and overlaid it on top of the clips so it would flow together. I then saved everything, and began the process of uploading it to YouTube.

I am Edward

Assignment (4.5 stars)

For this assignment, I made a video representing who my character, Edward Creeper, is.

To complete this assignment, I first brainstormed what kind of interests Edward Creeper has, and found some pictures on Google that corresponded with them. I downloaded all of these images into iMovie, and spaced them out. I added titles to several of the images. Then, I found this music to go along with the clips, and used a Youtube converter to download it into iMovie. I then overlaid the music with the clips, and saved the file to my desktop. Finally, I began the process of uploading it to YouTube.

Redskins Pump-up Video

Assignment (4.5 stars)

For this assignment, I made a video using different highlights from the Washington Redskins.

To complete this assignment, I first found several different videos on YouTube that had the clips I used above. I then used a Youtube converter to download them into iMovie. I then found this song, that I thought went well with the clips, and also downloaded it into iMovie. I then edited the clips together and overlaid the music, before saving it to my computer. I attempted to upload the video to WordPress, but for some reason it would not upload. Instead, I uploaded it to my YouTube account.

Surfing Compilation

Assignment (3 stars)

You may be surprised to learn that when Edward Creeper is not busy hosting his show, he enjoys spending time at the beach catching the waves. The follow short video is a compilation of different surfers showing off their skills

To complete this assignment, I first found several different surfing videos on YouTube, and used a Youtube converter to download them into iMovie. I then found a song that sounded ‘beachy’ and also imported it into iMovie. Then, I edited all of the clips and music together to make the finished product, before beginning the process of uploading it to WordPress.

Edward Wishes he was in Australia

Assignment (3 stars)

The follow short video showcases the scenery of Australia, which is somewhere Edward Creeper has always wanted to go.

To complete this assignment, I first found several images of Australia on Google, and downloaded them into iMovie. I then found the song ‘Down Under’ by Men at Work on YouTube, and used a Youtube converter to download it into iMovie as well. Finally, I found a video of different Australian landmarks to use in the middle of my own video. After all of these pieces were in iMovie, I edited them together and overlaid the music on top, before saving the project and beginning the slow process of uploading it to WordPress.

Tyrod Taylor Highlight Reel

Assignment (5 stars)

For this assignment, we had to find an athlete that we like and make a highlight reel of them, along with adding music and an intro. The following video is of Tyrod Taylor, who was a Virginia Tech quarterback, before being drafted to play for the Baltimore Ravens. He did not see much playing time there however, and is now with the Buffalo Bills. The video is set to Enter Sandman by Metallica, which is the song that is played during Virginia Tech games.

To complete this assignment, I first found the clips I wanted to use on YouTube. I then used a Youtube-to-Mp4 converter so that I could open the clips in iMovie. I then found the song and went through the same process. Once in iMovie, I edited the clips together, added the introduction, and edited the music to fit with the clips. I then saved everything, and began the process of uploading it to WordPress. This took over an hour to do, and I was a bit worried it would not work, but eventually everything came together.
